Tracy Lawrence has been around the music business since the age of 16 when he formed his first band. He was born in Atlanta, Texas
but grew up in Foreman, Arkansas.
Since his recording career began back in 1991 with the release of his first album, Sticks And Stones, he has had
8 - #1 hits and 20 singles in the top 10. He had a long dry stretch between 1996 and 2006 before getting another #1
with the song Find Out Who Your Friends Are.
Just prior to that first album being released, Lawrence and his former girlfriend were attacked by three armed men and robbed.
Lawrence was shot 4 times and almost lost his life. To this day he still has a bullet lodged in his pelvis.
His latest album is a Country/Christian record called "The Rock" and was released in Jun 09. The first single is called "Up To Him".
Lawrence remains on the touring circuit and plays about 100 - 120 dates per year.
