Brooks and Dunn are by far the most successful duo in country music history with a career that spans almost 20 years when they wind up their final tour sometime in 2010. They have won numerous awards throughout their successful career and recorded 10 albums 3 compilation albums and a Christmas album.

There isnt many artists who can release their first album and have 4 songs go to the top of the charts, but that's what happened to these guys when they made their debut back in 1991.

They also have the most wins for musical duo from the CMA and won every year from 1992 to 2006 (except in 2000). No offense to Montgomery Gentry, but those guys should not have de-throned Brooks and Dunn ... just my opinion.

The super duo are hanging it up as of 2010 with their final concert scheduled for 10th Aug 2010 in Nashville. Here is the statement they released on their website informing the music world of their upcoming retirement.

"After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it's time to call it a day. This ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed .... We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just time. We will release our "#1's and Then Some" on September 8th and come see you all one more time in 2010, with The Last Rodeo Tour."

They will surely be missied.
