Blake Shelton is from Ada Oklahome and begain his pursuit of a music career in Nashville in 1998.
His first of 5 albums was releasaed in 2001 with the lead off single called Austin, which went to #1.
Ironically, a song called I Wanna Talk About Me was slated to be recorded and released as the lead off
but Austin was choosen instead. So Toby Keith recorded it and took it to #1.
